K9 Kaos Announcements

I wanted to take a few minutes to thank you all so much for your patronage.  I know that you have many options in the seacoast area for professional dog care, and I cannot thank you enough for choosing K9 Kaos.  After the year we have all just had, I felt it was important to share with you an overview of our business as it is today and to inform you of some upcoming changes.

K9 Kaos is about to celebrate 10 years in our “new” building and have been in business for over 17 years.  We have made many exciting improvements here and are working on plans for even more in 2021. It is always our goal to provide the very best care we can for your dogs.  Earlier this year we added an automatic generator for the building. We don’t lose power very often, but we felt as though our portable generators were not as effective as we wanted them to be.  It is a great comfort knowing that the dogs and the staff will now have everything they could need should we lose power in the future.

This summer we will be adding two new yards in daycare.  It is our plan to add additional staff to manage smaller daycare groups outside.  This will create an even safer and more fun environment for all the dogs in daycare.  As many of you know, we have been incredibly busy.  We thank you so much for planning your dog’s days well ahead of time and most especially for cancelling well ahead of time when they can’t come.  We will be sticking to our current cap to keep daycare as safe for the dogs as we possibly can.

I think it is important to talk about our exceptional staff for just a moment.  The K9 Crew has grown to a total of 29 members, 16 of which are full time. We pride ourselves on the benefits we offer our staff. In an industry that has an extremely high turnover rate, this commitment to our staff is demonstrated by our average employment length of more than 3 years.  A couple of our staff members have been happily caring for your dogs for more than 10 years here at K9 Kaos. This means that we always have a very experienced crew here to make sure that your dog is happy, healthy, and safe while in our care. 

It has been more than 3 years since K9 Kaos has had to introduce a price increase for daycare, and we feel it is time for us to match our prices to the excellent care we are providing for your dogs.  Beginning July 12, 2021, our new daycare rate will be $32 per day.  We will continue to offer multi visit discount packages and multi dog discount packages.

Our new boarding pricing will be $35 per night effective July 12, 2021.  We have not raised prices in boarding for six years.  The care that the staff provide the dogs in our facility is second to none.

Our grooming program has grown to three full time groomers with a combined experience of over 35 years.  Our groomers stay educated and up to date on new techniques and equipment for our salon, so that we can always provide the very best for your dog.  In 2019, our groomers became AKC S.A.F.E. certified, which we are immensely proud of.

The decision to increase prices has been such a difficult one for me to make, especially considering this past year. Like everyone, our facility and staffing expenses continue to rise year after year.   We will never skimp, especially when it comes to caring for your dog.    We understand that you want the best and we strive to be the facility that provides the best for you and your dog every time.
