Happy Summer 2022!

Wow, it is already the middle of July. I have no idea how that happened so quickly. I thought I would try to keep this blog momentum going with a quick update for you all.

Our June raffle was a HUGE success and raised money, on behalf of Andre’s Army, for Connor’s Climb. I am happy to share that we raised $500 for them. Connor’s Climb is on a mission to provide suicide prevention education to NH youth and communities. We celebrated the last day of Pride Month with some really fun rainbow attire, some delicious lunch from LaFesta and we drew the winner for our raffle. In an amazing twist of fate, the winner was Andre’s mom. It was a really fun day. I don’t want to forget to mention that LaFesta did a fantastic job putting together lunch for us. We had a gift card from one of our wonderful customers, but we were all pizza’d out. LaFesta did not disappoint with sandwiches, calzones, salads, and of course garlic and cinnamon knots. If you have never had a sandwich from them, give it a try. So good!

July Raffle Basket
also includes a large dog bed and a K9 Kaos Tote Bag. Total Value $175

The July raffle is up and running. This month we are raising money for Granite State Dog Recovery. If you have ever lost a dog, you know that this organization is your first call. They now also have a shelter themselves. This is a wonderful cause and a wonderful organization. The raffle basket is on display in our store and our tickets are $1/each or 6 for $5.00.

K9 Crew Update
I am really excited to welcome two new members to the Crew. Koda and Gianna have joined us and are now training in both boarding and daycare. Both come to us from the Animal Science program through Dover High School. They are both doing a great job learning to take excellent care of your pups.

I would also like to share some anniversaries again this month. Starting with Ali who just celebrated 3 years and works primarily in our boarding kennel. Ashe, our trainer as well as supervisor, desk, boarding, daycare and even sometimes a bather has just celebrated 4 years at K9. Randi, our facility/operations manager, is just about to celebrate her 10-year anniversary. And drum roll please, Nicole, our front desk manager, who was the first “triple threat” ever (desk, daycare & boarding) is about to celebrate her 12th anniversary as part of the K9 Crew. I am beyond excited to work with these incredible girls and to celebrate them.

Summer Fun End Cap at K9 Kaos

Shopping
We have some great sales this July, stop by and grab one of our sale flyers from the front desk. Most of the products are also marked throughout the shop. The desk staff has also put together a really fun endcap with some great toys, treats and more for summer. Thank you so much for choosing to shop at K9 Kaos. We have everything you need at a great price. Check us out!

Kennel cough still lingers at K9 unfortunately. While it has slowed down tremendously, we have been notified of a couple more cases from dogs that were with us last week. If your dog is coughing, even if you think they just have allergies or something stuck in their throat, please leave them at home. We ask that you err on the side of caution, just in case they might have it. The cough is extremely contagious and is air borne, making it tricky for us to control if dogs are coming in with it. Our cleaning and disinfecting protocols remain in full force. We thank you in advance for your help in managing this.

There will be some fun daycare news to share, hopefully, next month. Here’s a sneak peek. 🙂
