2022 Rate Change
Here we are in 2022! We have been through a lot in the last two years and are still working hard to navigate this new normal we are all faced with. With that in mind, I want to first share with you how grateful I am that you choose K9 Kaos, above all others, to care for your dogs. The fact that K9 Kaos was able to weather the storm of the pandemic is because of you, our loyal customers.
I know that all of us are faced with price increases everywhere. It is not easy for me to announce that K9 Kaos will also have an increase on May 1, 2022. I’m sure you have all heard of the staffing issues that many local businesses are faced with. Luckily for us, we have maintained a low turnover rate and we are fully staffed. With that being said, I want to continue to offer competitive living wages and benefit packages for our exceptional staff members. Staffing expenses and the cost of doing business is rising quickly and at a very high rate. So many of you have been here and watched my staff grow up right before you. Some starting when they were in high school that are now college graduates, homeowners, and some now have children of their own. I want them to be able to provide for their families while working at K9 Kaos. They work so hard and always provide the best care for the dogs.
K9 Kaos remains competitively priced across all of our services. We will never skimp, especially when it comes to caring for your dog. We understand that you want the best. K9 Kaos will always strive to be the facility that provides the best for you and your dog every time.
Please review our website and our updated rate sheets for daycare and boarding, showing our new prices and fees. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me at anne@k9kaos.com.
I understand wanting to take care of your staff. They are all pretty amazing! However, I can’t say I’m happy about the increase in the daycare rates. I work in childcare and we provide outstanding care for the children, but haven’t increased our rates in several years. The families enroll their children, because they have to work and know that their children are getting quality care. The same applies for doggie daycare. We have to work, so our dogs (our “kids”), go to daycare. I get increasing the rates for some of the “extra” services (I.e. grooming, boarding and supplies), but it’s hard on some of your clients, that don’t make a bunch of money, to have this increase, so soon since the last one. Even buying a package is not saving much money. Could you consider a better package rate, that gives a better deal for clients? Thank you
Thank you for your comments, Kendra. It was not an easy decision to raise prices again this year. We are now in line with our competition, and we continue to offer the highest level of service for the dogs in our care. We have raised our daycare prices only 5 times in the past 18 years. The cost of doing business has changed so much in that time, most especially in the last two years. We remain committed to providing excellent care for the dogs that attend our daycare. Thanks again.
You guys are the best and worth every penny! Thank you Anne for working hard to keep such great, caring people.
Thank you so much Mary!
