Dog Boarding in New Hampshire

We provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for every dog right here in Dover!

Our boarding kennel provides each dog with a spacious indoor area, a raised bed with a warm fleece top, fresh water and lots of individual care from our experienced staff. Our building systems provide plenty of fresh air throughout the kennel and we have installed some of the newer de-stressing technologies to help the dogs manage any stress while in our care. The dogs are walked individually out to one of our play yards four times daily. We try to keep a schedule for them that is close to their normal schedule when at home.

Kennel Tours Available

If you would like a tour of our kennel before your stay, please stop by and we would be happy to show you around. Our tour hours are Monday through Friday from 10am to 2pm and on Saturday from 11am to 2pm. Please note that we do not offer tours during school vacations or any major holiday when our kennel is fully booked. It is our priority to create a calm and relaxing environment for the dogs in our care, a tour during that time can be disruptive and unsettling for our guests. It is always best to take a tour before your scheduled vacation as opposed to the day of your dog’s arrival.

What to Bring Before Overnight Boarding

Please be sure that everything you bring to K9 Kaos is clearly labeled with your dog’s name on it. This will help with any confusion with toys and other personal belongings.

Food

We ask that you portion your dog’s meals in labeled individual bags for each meal. We cannot accept large bags of dog food as they are hard for us to handle and store properly. It is also important to include feeding instructions on a separate sheet of paper. Please bring instructions each time your dog comes to stay at K9 Kaos.

Medication

Please bring your dog’s medication in a bottle that is clearly marked with all instructions. We ask that you not put pills or supplements inside individual food bags. Please pack pill pockets, peanut butter, or any device that you use at home to administer your dog’s medications or supplements. Please note that there is a $1.00 per medication per day fee for administering all medications and supplements including those that are given as part of a meal. We will ask you to fill out our medication form upon arrival. If you would like to fill it out before you come, you can download our form here.

Treats

We provide tasty treats throughout the day and at bedtime. You are also welcome to bring your dog’s favorite treats from home.

Bedding

We provide a raised dog bed with a fleece top for each dog. You may bring your dog’s favorite blanket or bed from home.

Toys & Chews

You can bring a toy for your dog, but please leave the sentimental toys at home. We have a lot of belongings to keep track of and would be sad if we lost something important. For chews, we recommend Kong brand or similar. We do not recommend rawhide or table scrap bones while boarding.

Required Boarding Forms

Registration Form

This form provides us with general information about your dog and some emergency contact information. The registration form is only required the first time you use a service at K9 Kaos. It is recommended that the form be submitted before services are scheduled. If you have special instructions that include feeding or medication that should be listed on a separate sheet that you would bring with you each time your dog boards with us.

Vaccination Certificate

K9 Kaos requires up to date vaccine information from your veterinarian. For boarding, we need a copy of the most recent rabies and distemper vaccines. We also follow your vet’s recommendations regarding the kennel cough vaccine.

There is a $20 late pick up fee incurred at noon on the last day.

If your dog is going to daycare on their first and/or last day of boarding, you can follow our normal daycare hours of operation.

Flea and Tick Collars

Important note regarding flea & tick collars: It is important to know that for safety reasons, we are asking you to please remove all flea & tick collars from your dog before they arrive at K9 Kaos. We appreciate that these collars are expensive, so it is best that they stay safely at home. K9 Kaos cannot be responsible for the loss of any collar, including flea and tick collars.
